Safari Waters Ranch

Safari Waters Ranch is an 1800 acre, private, gated community. There are approximately 70 occupied homes and 400 lots that have yet to be built on. It is a well-established neighborhood with lots of social activity and a real community feeling. Being located approximately 8 miles east of Athens, Safari is an easy drive to Tyler or Canton, and 90 minutes to Dallas.

There are 3 great fishing lakes for use by community members, fully stocked with Florida bass, bluegill, catfish and crappie. Numerous bass over 10 pounds have been caught in these lakes. Within the community, there is an RV Park available to property owners and their guests.

Zebra, elk, axis deer, fallow deer and blackbuck antelope roam the community, fully surrounded by a 9 foot game fence. It's not unusual to watch the axis deer or zebra in your back yard as you eat dinner.
